DEX uses only the cookies and local storage strictly necessary to run the service. We do not run advertising, third-party tracking, or analytics on identifiable users.

What we set

Session cookie — keeps you signed in.
Local storage — preferences (theme, units, language) and your auth session token.
Push subscription — if you opt in to notifications.
Device fingerprint — hashed signal used to detect ban-evasion only; never shared.

What we don't set

No advertising cookies.
No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no TikTok Pixel).
No social-network embeds that fingerprint you.

Why no banner?

Because we don't drop non-essential cookies, the UK PECR cookie-consent banner is not required for our use. If that ever changes, we will ask before setting them.
