Ground rules

Terms of Service.

This is your contract with us. Use Dex responsibly: be 18+, be respectful, and don't break UK law.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. You confirm this at signup. We may verify your age and identity through a third-party provider (Yoti) at any time. Lying about your age may be a criminal offence and will result in permanent removal.

Your account

One account per person. Keep your sign-in credentials secret. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Acceptable use

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy. Breaches lead to suspension or permanent removal, and serious breaches are reported to UK authorities.

Paid features (DEX+, Pro, Pass, Boost)

Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel anytime in Settings → Subscription. You keep access until the end of the paid period.

Statutory right of withdrawal (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013): digital content delivered immediately. By starting a paid plan or Pass, you agree we may begin performance straight away and you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day cancellation right once performance has begun.

Prices include VAT where applicable. Stripe is the merchant of record for some purchases.

Content you post

You keep ownership of content you upload. You grant Dex a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and transmit it solely to operate the service. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or the law. You may close your account at any time in Settings. After deletion we keep some records as set out in the Privacy Notice.

Liability

Dex is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by UK law we exclude implied warranties.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be excluded under UK consumer law.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (your statutory consumer rights are unaffected).
